SKIN RENEWAL
Peels that utilize alpha hydroxyl acids penetrate the skin and help remove layers of dull dry skin. Glycolic and salicylic acid are ideal for people who suffer from excess sebum, these treatments rejuvenate the skin without much downtime.

Topical retinoids work best for oil prone skin and come in cream, gel and liquid forms. This vitamin A derived ingredient helps reduce the presence of oil and bacteria within the pores by increasing skin cells’ natural turnover rate.

• Increases sensitivity to UV light, so be sure to use at least SPF 30 daily. Retinoids should be avoided by any one who’s pregnant or nursing.

Physical sunscreens contain extremely fine particles of minerals such as zinc oxide and titanium dioxide that stay on the skins surface, creating a barrier that reflects the sun’s rays.
PROS-waterproof reflects skin damaging heat keeping the skin cool is a natural sun protestants ( since zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are minerals) unlikely to cause skin irritation since they form a protective barrier on the skin (as opposed to being absorbed).
CONS-can leave a heavy white residue on the skin. However modern refining techniques create minuscule particles so high quality sunscreens leave no residue.

TYPE 2
CHEMICAL SUNSCREENS:
Chemical  sunscreens contain synthetic compounds as the active ingredients and absorb the ultraviolet radiation that causes sunburns, damages DNA and can lead to skin cancer.
PROS-absorbs UVA rays (which penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin, damaging collagen fibers and other tissues that result in accelerated aging of the skin).  Prevents penetration of UVB rays responsible for tanning and sunburn.
CONS-can cause allergic reactions may irritate the skin quickly broken down by the sun (so you need to reapply often) generates free radicals.
